ABOUT ME

I am an engineer-in-training from Toronto, Canada currently attending Queen's University for Mathematics and Engineering with a specialty in mechanics. Before I got to Queen's, I went to Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute enrolled in the Birchmount Exceptional Athletes and the gifted programs. Outside of school, I am a massive sports fan who loves watching and playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball. I have had an interest in engineering ever since I was young, always wondering how and why things worked no matter how small. I have always been a fan of puzzles and games of strategy, breaking down classic board games into problems waiting to be solved in the most efficient way possible.

Growing up, I was never one to take something at face value, I was always asking why? I first considered engineering when selecting a specialism for a school-related camp I attended at middle school. We spend 3 days building structures, designing egg drop containers, and learning the basics of forces and kinematics. I fell in love, and haven't considered anything since. Take your time exploring my page and get to know me and how I approach problems, as a leader and as an engineer. Enjoy!

PROFESSIONAL CV

Past Experience

Project Manager / Teaching Assistant

September 2022 - Present

I managed 6 different project groups with 4-6 first year students each as they completed 2 different engineering design products where I was able to hone my leadership, project management, and organizational skills through giving instruction, grading reports, and managing students.

Camp Location Coordinator

June 2022 - August 2022

I planned and coordinated 9 weeks of summer camp, including day-to-day activities and crafts, off-site excursions, and hiring "special guests" on a depleted, post-COVID budget. I managed a team of up to 4 counsellors, instructing them as to how activities were to carry out the program plan and how to grow in their role.

Production Intern

June 2021 - August 2021

I facilitated the flow and production of 80 prefabricated modules to be used in large scale construction. I was in charge of upkeeping bills of materials totaling 200,000 materials, which assisted the development of my attention to detail and work management skills. Having shown I could be trusted with important tasks, I was put in charge of an effort to recover materials used in construction that had not been scanned for billing, resulting in the recovery of thousands of dollars worth of material.
